      Steamers coming and going at Port Carling. Steamboat traffic was busy on the lakes of Muskoka at the height of the season, especially during the early decades of the twentieth century.

      The Dyer Memorial is a stone monument on a property northeast of Huntsville, erected by Clifton Dyer, a successful Detroit lawyer, in memory of his wife who died in 1956. Mr. Dyer died three years later and their cremated remains rest at the top of the monument.

      Bracebridge Public Library opened in 1908 with Moses Dickie as the first librarian. The Library continues to operate in this building, with expansion, on Manitoba Street in 2016. Unidentified gentleman watering the flowers in front of the library - could be Mr. Dickie?

      People assembled waiting for the arrival of the train at Bracebridge Railway Station. This station was built in 1885 by the Mackenzie Brothers, one of whom became Sir William Mackenzie after he led the construction of the Canadian Northern Railway.
