      The stamp is of Edward VII wearing the Ermine Robes of State. He died in 1910 which helps date the era of this postcard and message. The postmark reads: "BRONTE J? ?5 ONT.".

      This is a black and white photo of a picnic table area under the trees at Bronte Beach Park. Ladies, gentlemen and children are sitting and conversing at the tables. Although the postcard is addressed, it has no stamp and was not mailed.

      This photograph was tinted by hand before being mass produced for the Bronte postmaster, J. S. Flumerfelt. It was for local sale. The photograph looks east across the beach to the moorings of the fishing fleet.

      At time of posting in 2011, no further information is known about the house, property or owners.

      This post office is now part of the John Sopinka Court House. The marvellous old marble hall with the postal wickets and large tables still exists on the ground floor running north from Main Street and the (now gone) clock tower.
