      This horse was being crossed in the rapids at Deux Rivierés. The men were heading to the Cotnam and Kumm camp on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River.

      Due to the trees that are cut along the bank of the river, this photograph was likely taken at the end of the 1940s before the water levels of the Ottawa River were raised by the dam at Rapides-des-Joachims.
