      Esquesing School Section #13, Bannockburn class photograph. The school was located at Highway #7 and 4th Line. Note the young children included with their siblings. A blur of white on the right indicates where mothers moved quickly out of the way.

      Acton Public School 2½ storey red brick building was added to the original stone school in 1892. It was struck by lightning on 2 October 1956 and subsequently demolished.
