      Hamilton Bridge derrick car using a gib boom to erect posts. This traveling crane was also known as a double boom derrick.

      This photograph shows a Hamilton Bridge traveling crane placing a 32 ton steel girder into place on the trestle. Newspaper reports indicated the trestle itself would be a mile long, followed by a mile and a half approach to the iron ore dock.

      This photograph shows the trestle near completion. The wooden trestle would stretch two thirds of a mile in length. It was composed of fir from British Columbia and structural steel contracted through the Hamilton Bridge Company.
