      The Temple replaced the open-air auditorium in 1888. However, the area where it is located is still known as Auditorium Circle. The cottages surrounding Auditorium Circle were desirable real estate for many of the cottagers.

      This is a street view showing the placement of the Temple, Park House Hotel, and the Check Room in the centre of activity at Grimsby Park.

      According to the promotional period of Grimsby Park, the Temple could hold up to 7,000 people. Notice also, the wiring and lighting system visible in the top of the Temple.

      Each cottage has different details in the woodworking and painting. Most of the cottages were built by either Edward Bowslaugh or Daniel Marsh.

      This area was probably one of the first cleared for the early camp meetings. These pews surrounded an open-aired podium. In 1888, the Temple is built which replaces this auditorium.

      This photograph shows a street view of Grimsby Park. There are several groups of people posing for this photograph. Some of them appear to be spending their leisure time at this intersection. The background shows a row of cottages. In the centre of the photograph is a multi-sided bulletin board.

      While those summer visitors from far away could take train or boat to Grimsby Park, many people from the surrounding area would arrive by horse and buggy, sometimes just for a single afternoon or evening.

      This is the summer cottage of the Edward Bowslaugh Family. The cottage was named Cedar Dell. There are eight people on the porch and seventeen people sitting on the front steps and lawn of the cottage. There are two flags acting as curtains on the porch.

      While the board and batten siding of a cottage is visible in the background, these four men are in front of the striped tent seen often in Grimsby Park images. Cottages and tents often co-existed here, especially during the transition period starting after 1875.

      Note the middle cottage has a name placed on the second story porch railing. This was a common means of identifying cottages without addresses.
