      Postcard view of Lakeside, Ontario. With a large lake and lots of landscape, Lakeside is considered a great place to visit during the summer months for boating and other outdoor activities. Groups from St. Marys frequently traveled to this little lake for picnics.

      Condition: Good. Words are clear, but envelope is thin, worn and ripped in places.

      The front side of the envelope gives the true purpose of the mailing - A Firemen's Convention and Demonstration would be taking place in St. Marys on August 5th, 6th and 7th in 1912.

      This postcard is in poor condition. The events in this postcard occurred in London, Ontario - the nearest major city to St. Marys.

      Built in 1875, its most famous graduate is Arthur Meighen, ninth Prime Minister of Canada. The school has been added onto many times, and has been a public school since 1955 when a new high school building was opened. Was renamed Arthur Meighen Public School in 1984.
