      The Argo Petroleum tanks were built at Whitby Harbour in 1938 at the east side of the harbour. The tanks were replaced by larger oil tanks around 1947 and were demolished in the early 1980s.

      Fred Harden was Ontario Athletic Commission champion for 1939 and Bill won for 1940. Fred Harden won the Langevin Cup at track meets at Whitby High School in 1941, 1942, and 1943. Bill won the cup in 1938, 1939, and 1940.

      S. W. (Wilson) Wylie was foreman of the Horticultural Experimental Station from 1915 to 1943.

      C. S Peacock was hired by the Horticultural Experimental Station in 1924 as a Farm Hand. In 1943, on the retirement of S. M Wylie, he became Foreman. He died in 1946.

      The Director's Residence of the Horticultural Experimental Station. This building was built in either 1908 or 1909. In 1955 this building was remodelled for use by Agricultural Extension Services.
