      Obituary for Hulda Catherine Allen born Novermber 6, 1864 and died June 6, 1954, she was the widow of William Frederick Allen.

      Both women were members of Iron Bridge Women's Institute. This photograph was taken at the 60th anniversary celebrations of the organization. This photograph can be found in volume two of the tweedsmuir history created by the Iron Bridge Women's Institute.

      This newspaper clipping and photo describes how a portrait painted by a local woman won a prize at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto in 1902. Her subject was Alice Rosenberg from Kirkwood Township and at the time the portrait was done she was 16 years old.
