      These were the Headquarters buildings of the Royal Air Corp. They were located on the Beamsville bench, south of the Regional Rd. 81 (old Highway 8) and west of Quarry Rd.

The photo date is unknown, but it was taken before the Dec 28 1919 fire that badly damaged the building."

      This is a German Maxium Machine Gun. Many were brought back as 'war trophies' after the First World War, and used as veterans' memorials. This item has since been replaced with a larger field piece from WWII.

      In 1910 the Church of Christ congregation split and the splinter group built this new building on Queen St. in Beamsville. In 1925, the building was bought and turned into a Presbyterian church.
