      St. Jude's Cemetery is at 258 Lakeshore Road W., Oakville, near Dorval Rd. It was originally beside St. Jude's Anglican Church which moved, along with the rectory, in 1837 to Dunn and William Streets.

      The Merton area (Lots 26-35 2SDS Trafalgar) was settled as early as 1810. The first settlers were David Utter, Joseph Smith, William Bates, Cornelius Tipps and Henry Cale.       John Bingham Colton was the son of Jacob and Mary Ann Colton.

      Robert was the fifth child, and Clara the sixth of George and Annie Colton.

      This house still stands at Lot 17 NDS Munn's Corners where Jacob Colton first settled in 1882.

      Many of the family are buried at St. Stephen's Anglican Church in Hornby, Ontario and the cemetery records can be found on the internet.

      The church was located at 9th Line and Derry Road.

      Guy was the son of Hannah and John Bussell. They are buried at St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Hornby, Trafalgar Township.

      The Neelands farm on the west side of Trafalgar Road, north of the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks. It was purchased by Ontario Hydro, for the construction of the transmission line. The house later burned to the ground.
