      Mayor Andy Letham reached out to City of Kawartha Lakes residents via video message about Pinecrest Nursing Home and the tragedy of the COVID-19 outbreak at the long-term care home.

      Canada launched the COVID Alert app on July 31, 2020. Using Bluetooth signals available through smartphones, it alerted users to COVID-19 exposure, offered advice on what to do following exposure, and let others know when you tested positive without sharing personal information.
