      Norman George Bailey was born at Brooklin on September 16, 1889, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bailey. He enlisted in the 116th Battalion of Ontario County in 1916 and was killed in action on May 3, 1917 at Hill 60, Vimy Ridge, France.

      Frank A MacGrotty was the son of Whitby Police Chief Charles F. MacGrotty. Frank MacGrotty enlisted in the 116th Ontario County Battalion and went overseas as a Sergeant. He led his platoon to a first prize in Musketry at a contest in England. He died of wounds at a dressing …

      A black and white group portrait photograph of Canadian soldiers at a military camp in England. On the back is a message. The post card is not addressed. Apparently this post card was sent home by John Parker of Whitby to his wife.

      John Gunn Dow was the son of Whitby lawyer John Ball Dow. He studied and practised law. After the death of his father in 1910, John Gunn Dow moved with his widowed mother to Edmonton, Alberta. He enlisted with the 151st Battalion and served in England and France.

      Postcard written by Private George Edward Savage to his wife Alice Ada Savage. Private Savage was with the 15th Bn Canadian Infantry (1st Central Ontario Regt.). He died 9th November 1918 of sickness following wounds (gas) received at Crow's Nest, North East of Hendecourt, 2nd September, 1918, aged 38.
