      Percy Lloyd Climo was born to Elizabeth and Henry Climo, on Oct. 17, 1906, in Cobourg Ont., the youngest of four boys. He became well known as the author of several books on Cobourg History (Let Us Remember: Lively Letters from WWI, Early Cobourg, and Cobourg 1914 - 1919)

      These photographs depict what seems to be a family gathering or outing sometime around the earlier part of the last century. Dates are unknown.

      Pictures of a little boy and girl. On the reverse side someone has written the words "Mother" and "Dad". They also wrote John Sr."

      Photographs of King Street looking East and West. Information on the reverse side tells us that these photos were owned by Joan Chalovich.

      Picture of King Street taken from just west of Victoria Hall. It appears on page 209 of Guillet’s “Cobourg 1798 to 1948” where the caption is simply “The Jaunting Car on King Street”. There appears to be a group of firefighters testing their equipment in the middle of the road. …

      Picture of a coach from Cobourg's Dunham House Hotel. The Dunham House was built on the site of the Windsor Hotel which was destroyed by fire in April 1878. The fire took the life of three firefighters: George Stevenson, James Forrest and Charles Patterson. See Guillet’s “Cobourg 1798-1948” p.175-9.
