      The Brunton Lumber Company was built at Whitby Harbor in 1941. The company manufactured ammunition boxes for Defense Industries Limited in Ajax during the Second World War. The company was sold to General Mills and was destroyed by fire 0n 8 February 1951.

      This stone house was built for Harry Donald about 1941 and was remodelled after the year 2000. It is located at 666 Centre Street South. Harry Donald was a Whitby entrepreneur who ran a travel agent and car dealership.
