      This is a black and white photo of the south end of Thessalon's main street. The photo shows D.A. McKiggan's Boot and Shoe Store and the People's Meat Market. The photo appears to have been taken in the winter or spring as there is still snow on the road.

      Notes indicate that the walking bridge was taken out by the ice thaw in the spring of 1938.

      This is a black and white photo of the front counter of the People's Meat Market. On the counter there are three portions of meat. Behind the counter there are shelves and a cash register.

      The original Weir home was later removed from the property by Ray Elliott. During this removal process it was found that the home was built with heavy timbers that had been mortised together. This photo can be found in the Tweedsmuir History created by the Princess Elizabeth Women's Institute.
