      Sarah Blair was born at Guildhall, Vermont, U.S.A. in 1813, daughter of James and Anna Blair. She was the second wife of Whitby undertaker and cabinetmaker William Till. Mrs. Till died at Whitby, Ontario, Canada, on December 7, 1892 and is buried at Union Cemetery, Oshawa.

      Mrs. William Waterhouse (Elizabeth Ann Anderson) was born in Scotland and came to Whitby about 1874. She lived in Whitby for many years and died at her daughter's residence in Acton, Ontario on May 18, 1925. She is buried at Union Cemetery, Oshawa.

      This picture was taken in front of the public school on the north side of Winchester Street west of Simcoe Street. According to "100 Years of Brooklin Schools", tit is believed that this picture was taken about 1889. Teachers and students in this photograph have not been identified.
