      Appears to be two account books combined – much of ledger is for the Elgin-Chaffey’s Lock Telephone Company. The earlier part of the ledger seems to list debits and credits from local general merchants in Newboro, Elgin etc.

      Crosby, Ontario's Women's Institute Tweedsmuir Book covering some of the early history of Crosby Ontario(also once known as Singleton's Corners). The history in the book covers the period of the 19th century to about 1950.

      The Chaffey's Lock Women's Institute was founded in 1924 and operated until 1992. This Tweedsmuir history was started around 1940 and was updated regularly until the 1960s .
