      In the Local Field. The tug Industry went into commission Thursday, when she transferred the tug Sydney Smith from the Lyons dock to the shipyard, where the latter craft is being fitted out.

      In the Local Field. The steamer City of Marquette arrived in port Wednesday from Fish Creek, having come here for the purpose of having some repairs made to her stern-bearings at the shipyard.

      In the Local Field. The work of cutting down the tug Wright was commenced the first of the week, and her upper works will be stripped to the rail, converting her into a harbor tug. It is the intention to put her in the stone towing business.

      In the Local Field. Capt. G. S. Wilson has been laid up for a week or more with the lagrippe, but has so far recovered that he will take command of the Annie D. on her return from Detroit Harbor, where she and the Sylvia are engaged in fishing.

      In the Local Field. The name of the steambarge H. Luella Worthington has been changed to that of N. J. Nessen in honor of the son of C. O. Nessen, one of the owners. The craft will go into commission early next week, repairs being about completed.
