      As spring arrived, community gardens were included in the list of mandatory closures. This is the notice and yellow tape at the entrance to the gardens at Fleming College. To the gardeners' great relief, on April 25th, the government lifted the order and allowed community gardens to open!

      With parks closed and kids restless and bored, more backyard--and front yard play sets and equipment are appearing. This one was installed in a front yard on Adelaide St. in Lindsay, April 25th.

      During the pandemic the construction of a 90 unit addition to Adelaide Place Senior Living Community in Lindsay continued apace. This is the sign showing the protocols in place for workers.

      I have been bringing out my inner artist! With all the free online paint nights, I have been painting away at home. I also created a baking group. We bake a recipe every week and share our pictures with the group.

      A stream of honking, balloon-festooned cars full of grandkids and their parents circled round the parking lot of Adelaide Place on the morning of Mother's Day. At River Mill a family bearing large posters called up to a grandmother on a balcony.
