      Located at the corner of Victoria Street and King Street East, the Regent Theatre was originally erected in 1919, and staged both theatre acts and films. It eventually fell into disrepair, and a renewal project was finally realized as construction began in 2008.

      The streetcar tracks were removed in a major construction project undertaken by the city around the "Four Corners" (Simcoe and King Sts.) in 1942.
