      Trent University Archives holds a wonderful fonds known as the Geale-Rogers Papers that includes over 1000 photographs in these papers, many of them taken by Rogers during the course of his work on various sections of the Trent Canal.

      The Jacobite era spanned a number of important political, religious, and socio-economic events in Scottish history: the establishment of Presbyterianism as the national church (1688-89) again; the ill-fated Darien Colony scheme in 1695; and the Act of Union (1707) with England that provided economic stability and eventual toleration of episcopacy.
