      It could be thought from the post mark that it was dated 1950 but Norine's surname was Smith after her marriage in 1937. So, the year is uncertain but the artistic style is circa the 1930's. E. Weaver, the artist, specialized in comic post cards.

      Mrs. W. Smith of Palermo was Mabel (Bridgman) Smith. She was born and raised in Zimmerman, Nelson Township, Halton County. Zimmerman was at Appleby and 2nd Lines.

      Arthur is referred to in a family history as a seaman but in 1918, he took over the family farm in Palermo which was at Lot 34, Concession 1, South of Dundas Street.

      Demarius Norton 1854-1942 was the third Norton sibling to marry a child of Francis & Clarissa (Simons) Wilkinson of Palermo. She married James Andrew Wilkinson 1850-1934. There children were Herbert 1882, Kenneth, Samuel, and Clara Wilkinson 1884.
