      Postcard view of Lakeside, Ontario. With a large lake and lots of landscape, Lakeside is considered a great place to visit during the summer months for boating and other outdoor activities. Groups from St. Marys frequently traveled to this little lake for picnics.

      This postcard is in poor condition. The events in this postcard occurred in London, Ontario - the nearest major city to St. Marys.

      Built in 1875, its most famous graduate is Arthur Meighen, ninth Prime Minister of Canada. The school has been added onto many times, and has been a public school since 1955 when a new high school building was opened. Was renamed Arthur Meighen Public School in 1984.

      Postcard view of the "Power House." Built in 1898 as a way to pump water and make electricity. The Power House now houses some waterworks equipment.

      Postcard view of (Old) Central School as it appeared then. This building was built in 1857 after the other school buildings had been outgrown. The current Central school (on the same site as this former structure), was built in 1914.

      The St. Marys Town Hall was built in 1891 after the previous town hall located on this site burned down (2 years earlier). It was made in a fashion to make the town proud - as the previous town halls had been simple wooden structures.
