      Members of the 39th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, parading through Belleville prior to leaving for overseas. They are shown here at the corner of Bridge and Front Streets. The Battalion included militia members from the Quinte region, including Belleville.

      Formerly known as the Belleville Opera House, The Queen's Opera House, and The Carmen Opera House. It was located on the south-west corner of East Bridge and Church Streets until it was demolished in 1933.
