      In 2000-2001 Service Club Signs were placed at three entrances to Prince Edward County; Carrying Place, Rossmore and Highway 49, Skyway Bridge. Prince Edward District W.I. member, Joyce Brown, (deceased) was instrumental in getting this accomplished.

      The Prince Edward District W.I. believe in the importance of sports in the development of young people, so they made a substantial contribution to develop soccer fields, for anyone in Prince Edward County to enjoy. Every summer evening, the fields are busy with children of all ages, playing soccer.

      The Prince Edward District WI is a sponsor of the Prince Edward District Memorial Hospital Foundation. This plaque hangs in the Prince Edward District Memorial Hospital in recognition of donations made by the Prince Edward County District WI.

      We believe in the importance of local radio so the Prince Edward District W.I. made a donation to the founding of the radio station and were recognized by being named on a plaque.
