      A train, on its way to the Canadian National Exhibition and the Chicago World’s Fair, stopped in front of Oakville Motors, owned by A.J. Gurry for a promotional picture.

      Barbara Ford (on the left) accepts the Holstein-Friesian Association of Canada's Master Breeder Award from Jane Whaley. She is the only woman in Canada to have won the coveted award. She and her husband Clarence run the hundred-acre Fairford farm on the Southeast corner of Britannia and 5th Line, Trafalgar.
