      Notes indicate that they gave an impromptu parade in Thessalon up and down Main Street after receiving their uniforms, under the direction of Lt. Alex Denman and Sgt. Mjr. Ewan of Sault Ste. Marie.

      This is a black and white photo of one man, possibly James Owen, standing on top of a hay wagon hitched to a team of horses. He is holding either a pitch fork or a hay rake as he moves the hay on the wagon.

      Typewritten notes on the bottom of this photo read: "Thessalon Red Cross Hospital Fire, April 2, 1940."

      A steamship, also called the Norgoma was built at Collingwood shipyards in 1950.
