      The Armouries building was built in 1878 and was demolished in 1969. It was used as an armoury from c.1899 to 1946.

      The cenotaph was erected in 1924 at the south west corner of Dundas Street and Green Street.

      The residence of Mrs. Theodore McGillivray was demolished in 1954.

      The Methodist Tabernacle was built in 1875-76 at the south-east corner of Centre and Colborne Streets. It became the Whitby United Church in 1925 and St. Mark's United Church in 1962. On April 1, 1929, a storm blew down the church steeple. The steeple fell onto Colborne Street.

      Marjorie Georgina Ruddy (1908-1980) was a prominent Whitby photographer and the only commercial photographer in Whitby during the 1930s and 1940s.       These barns were located on the north side of the Base Line and were demolished in 1939 to build Highway 401. The farm was located on lot 20 of Concession 1, Base Line.
