      This house was built before 1877 by William Robinson on lot 29 of Concession 8 in Whitby Township. It's current address is 920 Brawley Road West.

      The Brock Street Public School was built in 1916 on the east side of Brock Street south of Victoria Street. Also known as the Bay School, it served Port Whitby until it closed in 1969. The building was demolished in 1998.

      St. Bernard's Separate School was opened in 1926 at the north-east corner of Centre and Dundas Streets. An addition was constructed in 1950. The school closed in 1975 and demolished in 1987.

      In 1926 the Whitby Fire Department purchased two fire trucks, a Gotfredson Pumper and a Chevrolet Chemical. They replaced the Merryweather Steam Fire Engine. The location of this photograph is unknown.

      The Jabez Lynde family home was located at the north-west corner of Dundas Street West and MQuay Blvd. A commemorative stone was unveiled by the Whitby Mayor John W. Bateman. George S. Henry, Ontario Minister of Public Works, was also present. Sylvester B. Lynde was the chairman for the reunion.

      James and Annie Nicholson were married at Belfast, Ireland in February 1876 and settled at Whitby shortly thereafter, around 1876. They had nine children. James Nicholson and Cephas Seldon were town undertakers who also operated a furniture store called Nicholson & Seldon.

      The conference was held from 24-25 June 1926 at Bigwin Inn in Lake of Bays, Muskoka.
