      R. S. Williams moved his piano factory from Toronto to Oshawa in 1891 and took over this building once occupied by Joseph Hall Works. It was located on the north side of Richmond Street between Simcoe and Church (now Centre) Streets. It was demolished in 1968.

      Robson Leather Co. was founded in 1865 by James Robson and William Lauchland. In 1895 the company was renamed James Robson and Sons. The Robson building was built in 1904.
