      This is a black and white photo of the Thessalon train station. The Thessalon depot sign hangs on the track side of the building. There are many windows located on what would have been the passenger area of the building.

      This is a colour photo showing the Saginaw Salt and Lumber Co mill operation in the distance. The large log boom and mill in the foreground of the photo was originally the Gordon Mill. This mill would later become the Asam Basket Factory (1919-1934).

      A test run of ore was brought in for processing. This test run exposed the fact that the smelter was poorly designed and as a result, this project failed. Notes found indicate that Firstbrook Bros. Box factory was established in 1919 using one of the buildings from this failed operation.
