      A postcard shows the industrial hub of Limehouse. The GTR station is on the right. Grand Trunk boxcars 27450 and 24968 are on the siding waiting to be loaded with lime. The end set kiln opening is visible at centre with draw kilns on the hill behind it.

      This scene was colourized as a postcard, EHS21851.This postcard was sent to Mrs. A. Darragh, c/o F. Newby, Gravenhurst, Ont. The post cancellation is dated 14 August 1909. Note: Gertrude Darragh McCullough was the daughter of Isobella Maude Lindsay Darragh, who was the daughter of John Rand Lindsay of Limehouse.

      The printed date in the right hand corner of the second version of the map is incorrect. The map can be dated to ca. 1891 based on other copies and the presence of St. Louis Roman Catholic Church on Allen St.
