      James was the son of Mires Clark and Ann Burton. He was born 25 April 1851 in Walpole Twp. Haldimand Co. and died 12 May 1916 in Saskatoon, Sk.

      The Tweedie family immigrated to Canada from Lanarkshire, Scotland about 1829. James and Jane Tweedie had thirteen children, all born at the family home, Broadfield, in Whitby Township.
