      Several vessels will leave Toronto about the end of this week, laden with grain for Oswego.

      If the present mild and genial weather continues the canal will be open for navigation about the 1st prox.. It is now covered with ice, but it is not very thick.

      The Oswego Times states that the Ogdensburgh line of steamers are being put in readiness to commence business on the 1st of April. It is doubtful if the canal will be clear of ice by that time.

      Sad Accident - On Wednesday last, we understand that a teamster in the employ of Messrs. Donaldson & Andrews, of Port Dalhousie, named Connor, was injured by being struck down by a heavy beam he was hauling, so that after having endured great suffering he expired in the evening. ...

      The man Connor, reported as having been killed by the falling of a beam he was hauling for Messrs. Donaldson & Andrews, Port Dalhousie, is still alive, and likely to remain so for some time. He was severely injured, but it is supposed will recover.

      The Board Of Lake Marine Inspectors for 1862 will consist of Captains Dorr and Dobbins, and Mr. Walter Jones, of New York.
