      William Ardiel was married to Sarah Annie Rolston (1891 - 1955). He had three children Alexander, Lulu Jean and Orval. He was a land owner in the King Lake Area.

      Thomas and Ellen Bottomley emigrated from England and settled in Machar Township in 1885. Their homestead was located on Concession 5, Lot 9 on Eagle Lake Road.

      Robert M. Carter was the owner of the home at the time. He opened the first General Store in South River in 1885. He was also clerk for Machar and sold insurance. The Carters came to South Rivers from Brussels, Ontario.

      Julius Detta was born in Hettstedt, Germany September 28th, 1842. He died July 23rd, 1911. He is buried in Lount. Louisa Detta Sohm was born September 2nd, 1870. She died April 13th 1955. She is buried in Eagle Lake Cemetery. This looks like a copy of a tin type.
